Without a doubt, we are at our most profound hour of choice: Are we willing to leap joyfully, our arms widespread and our hearts free of regrets, judgment and guilt, and our minds wide open - or, will we hesitate, doubting the divinity of our beingness, afraid of what lies beyond the chasm of our dark unconsciousness? 

In the whole of human history, there has never been an opportunity such as what we face now - not during the height of our Ancient Greek or Egyptian civilizations and not even during the Golden Ages of Atlantis and Lemuria. Certainly, there have been in times past periods of greater peace, comfort or enjoyment, but this is the first time we face together the great initiation: The whole of humanity holds in its hands the opportunity to initiate itself into a higher, more complete state of awareness and being. 

It has often been said that when a student is ready, the teacher appears. And, the kind of teacher that appears is always commensurate with the kind of teaching the student is prepared to receive. We’ve all had times when we were ready for a particular piece of information and we open a book, look up at the clouds or turn on the news to find it. At times when we decided to fully commit ourselves to better health, more loving relationships or to learn a new skill set for a change in careers, we found the appropriate healer, counselor, teacher or school to help us along the way. Yet, what kind of teacher would appear to the student who has prepared to awaken more fully to being in this world but not become of it? Who are the teachers for those who have chosen the path of initiation to attain enlightenment and serve the Divine?

When the human soul after many incarnations, first begins to awaken to the truth that all is within, it embarks upon its journey of awareness home to its true source. And, when a soul makes its commitment to serving the greater good, humanity or God on its return voyage, it receives its first initiation. Thus initiated, that soul departs from living the life of ordinary humans even though it incarnates into the same physical world as everyone else. The teachers who first initiate the soul onto this path may be more highly developed initiates. Each initiation comes at a crossroads in the initiate’s spiritual development where he or she must surrender all attachments to past identity in order to advance in beingness. Each initiation is certainly a profound experience of death and rebirth. It is always a quantum leap of awareness as well as a renewal of faith and certainty in Divinity. After the initiate reaches the basic state of self-mastery and fully commits to serving the needs of humanity on behalf of God’s Love, a Master of Wisdom provides his or her further initiations . 

Many initiates in the early stages of being on their path may not be consciously aware of their path other than having a strong sense of purpose (even if they may not know exactly what that might be), an awareness that they are different than the bulk of humanity, and that they have a deep abiding commitment to serving the needs and awakening of humanity. The challenges on the path of initiation are many and often require great courage, acceptance, perseverance, and forgiveness. When one progresses closer to the next initiation, the many trials that present themselves seemingly cannot be resolved through traditional ways. If they take the form of illness, traditional treatments alone do not seem to help. If they show up in a relationship situation, accepted societal solutions may not work. Each initiation is a jump in one’s application of power and creativity. Each initiation requires a deeper commitment to cultivating compassion, forgiveness and love. With each initiation, one must die to past limitations of thought into greater psychic freedom.
